Hello from Elizabeth Harris Art
Hello from me, Elizabeth Harris Art.

I
won my first art contest in 5th grade. I recall my art teacher telling
me that I see things in ways that a true artist sees. She read a story
of the Pilgrims & Indians. The topic was Thanksgiving. She asked
everyone to paint a picture of what they saw in the story. Everyone
painted beautiful pictures of turkeys, food, and pilgrims. I painted a
picture of three Indians in a boat. I thought I was the weird kid in
class. Yet there my painting hung with my first blue ribbon. That day an
artist was born
I
attended The Art Institute of Seattle in the mid-1980's studying
Advertising & Graphic Design. It was there I took a required painting
class. My instructor told me to give up painting. I could not paint to
the specifications for each assignment. Instead, I painted abstract
interpretations. I actually won a place on the wall of an Italian
restaurant in the Seattle area. I created a piece called, "Pasta Made
Perfect". The restaurant enlisted the talent from my painting class.
I
never gave up painting but instead found my place. I have been
painting abstract pieces for my clients and designer showrooms for over
30 years. I have taught art classes. I have been featured in national publications for interior design. I am now creating my online art gallery presence.
I am
a mother to 8 children, one lovely daughter-in-love and my grandson.
All great inspirations for creating abstract pieces with colors to work well with today's
designer trends. My kids have always said, "Mom has a love affair with
color" which shows in all my artfully designed pieces.
My art business has been designated as a "Trusted Art Seller" with The Art Storefronts Organization, which means you can shop with confidence, and know that I stand behind the quality and value of my products.
